- Download the Tuya or Smart Life app on your iOS or Android device.
- Mount the motor onto your existing curtain track following the included instructions.
- Power on the motor and add it to the app via WiFi pairing.
- Link to Alexa or Google Home through your preferred smart home app for voice control.
- Set your preferred open and close schedules in the app — the motor will run them automatically from that point on.
Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz — the motor does not support 5GHz networks. Most home routers broadcast both; check your router settings if unsure.
- Designed for use with standard curtain tracks — compatible with most wave, ripple, and straight rod systems commonly found in UK homes.
- Not compatible with Roman blinds, roller blinds, or tracks with non-standard drive systems.
- Check that your track has a cord or drive mechanism the motor can attach to before purchasing.
- Both motor variants (Standby and Dual-Use) work with the same track types — the difference is in how the motor is configured for single or dual-direction operation.
If you are unsure whether your track is compatible, measure the track width and check for an existing glider or cord system — most modern tracks sold in the UK and EU will work with this motor.
