Avoid leaving the solar panel in partial shade or indirect light — this significantly reduces charging efficiency and extends charging time.

Place the fan on a flat, stable surface inside a tent, caravan, or outdoor shelter — or hang it if a hanging loop or hook point is available on the unit.
