01 Clean Bead Every Time — Shaped for the Joint

The spatula head is shaped to follow the profile of a sealant joint and press the material flush with the surrounding surface in a single smooth stroke — producing the clean, consistent bead that a finger or a flat tool cannot reliably achieve. No second pass, no smearing, no ridging. The shape does the work, which is why the result is consistent rather than dependent on technique.

02 Plastic Head — Flexible for Silicone and Caulk

The plastic head flexes slightly under pressure, allowing it to follow curved or uneven surfaces without digging in or leaving gaps at the edges of the joint — the right choice for bathroom silicone, window caulk, and any application where the surface has a slight curve or the sealant material is soft enough to be displaced by a rigid head. The flexibility is also what prevents the tool from pulling fresh sealant out of the joint as it smooths.

The metal head provides the rigidity needed to scrape away dried sealant, hardened adhesive, and old grout from tile joints and hard surfaces without the head bending away from the residue — the right choice for renovation work, re-sealing jobs where the old sealant needs to be removed first, and any task where the material has set hard against the surface. The metal edge gets under the residue rather than riding over it.

Plastic Head: the right choice for applying and smoothing fresh sealant, silicone, and caulk on bathroom or kitchen joints, window frames, and surfaces where the material is still workable. The flexibility prevents digging in on curved surfaces.
Metal Head: the right choice for removing dried or cured sealant, hardened adhesive, old grout, and any residue that has set against a hard surface. The rigid edge gets under the material where a plastic head would flex away.

For a re-seal job — removing old sealant and applying new — order both heads: use the metal head to remove the old material and the plastic head to apply and smooth the new bead.

Applying: apply a continuous bead of sealant along the joint from the tube, then use the spatula head to press and distribute the material evenly into the joint in a single smooth stroke.
Smoothing: hold the spatula at a consistent angle and draw it along the joint in one uninterrupted movement — stopping and restarting mid-joint creates visible seams in the finished bead.
Removing: use the metal head at a low angle and work along the dried residue with short, controlled strokes — do not lever the tool at a steep angle as this can scratch tiles or hard surfaces.
Wipe the head clean between passes to prevent transferred residue from marking the fresh sealant.

Clean the spatula immediately after use while the sealant is still uncured — wipe with a damp cloth or rinse under water and dry thoroughly.
Cured silicone can usually be peeled off the silicone body once it has set — do not use solvents on plastic or silicone parts as these can degrade the material.
For the metal head, dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent surface rust from developing on the edge.
