Clean the mounting surface with a dry cloth before attaching the magnetic base — remove any dust or grease to ensure the adhesive bonds properly.
Peel the backing from the adhesive magnetic base and press it firmly onto the surface for 30 seconds. Allow 24 hours before attaching the light.
Snap the light bar onto the magnetic base — it will hold securely during use and can be removed for charging with a single pull.
For metal surfaces such as the underside of a metal shelf, the magnetic strip attaches directly with no adhesive required.
Position the IR sensor end of the light facing into the space you want to illuminate — the sensor detects movement within approximately 3 metres at up to 120 degrees.

Adhesive strength depends on surface type. Works best on smooth, non-porous surfaces. For textured or painted walls, press firmly and allow the full 24-hour cure time before loading.

Remove the light from the magnetic mount before charging — do not attempt to charge while mounted.
Connect the included USB cable to the charging port on the light bar and plug the other end into any USB wall adapter or USB port.
A full charge typically takes 1–2 hours. The indicator light will change colour or switch off when charging is complete — refer to the included instruction sheet for your specific indicator behaviour.
Battery life varies depending on frequency of triggering. In typical use (moderate motion in a hallway or wardrobe), expect several days to a week between charges.
If the light dims noticeably or the sensor response slows, this usually indicates the battery needs recharging.

The IR sensor activates the light when motion is detected within approximately 3 metres — the exact range depends on ambient temperature and the speed of movement.
The light switches off automatically after a period of inactivity (typically 15–30 seconds after the last motion is detected). Refer to the instruction sheet for the exact auto-off duration for your unit.
The sensor operates in two modes on most units: motion-only mode (activates at any light level) and night-only mode (activates only in darkness). Switch between modes using the button on the unit — see the instruction sheet for your specific switch location.
If the light is triggering unexpectedly, check that the sensor is not pointed toward a heat source such as a radiator or a window with direct sunlight — infrared sensors can be triggered by heat as well as movement.

Wardrobe: Mount inside on the underside of the top shelf, sensor facing down — activates as soon as the door opens and you reach in, switches off when you close it.
Hallway: Mount at shin or waist height on the wall — low enough to light the floor without shining into eyes, triggering as you walk past at night without turning on the ceiling light.
Staircase: Mount at the top or bottom on the wall or banister — Warm Yellow recommended here to avoid harsh light disrupting sleep when used at night.
Under-cabinet (kitchen): Mount on the underside of a wall cabinet, sensor facing the worktop — lights the preparation area when you step up to the counter without touching a switch.
Garage or utility room: Mount above the door or at the entry point — Cool White recommended for maximum visibility when locating items on shelves or at a workbench.
Children’s bedroom or landing: Mount at low level on the landing wall — provides safe, gentle guidance to the bathroom at night without waking the child with a bright overhead light.
Under-bed: Use the magnetic base on the bed frame if metal, sensor facing outward — activates when someone gets up in the night and provides floor-level guidance without disturbing a sleeping partner.

One light covers one zone effectively. For larger spaces or longer hallways, two lights placed at intervals will give consistent coverage without gaps.
