Standard Screen: the right choice for most households — a colour display with clear controls for setting temperature and dispensing hot water. If you want instant filtered hot water and a simple, reliable interface, Standard Screen covers everything you need.
Smart Seat: adds sensor-based automation to the dispensing process — suited to households who want a more hands-off experience or who use the dispenser very frequently and want the added convenience of automated controls. The core filtration and heating functionality is identical to Standard Screen; the difference is the control layer.
If you are unsure which to choose, Standard Screen is the better starting point — the core functionality is the same, and the Smart Seat upgrade is worthwhile only if the automation features are specifically what you are looking for.

Both configurations are white and share the same physical dimensions, filtration system and heating mechanism. The only difference is the display type and control interface.

Place the Y1 on a stable, flat worktop surface near a standard UK mains socket — no plumbing connection is required. Ensure the unit has adequate clearance above the dispenser nozzle for your mugs or cups.
