  • Machine wash the cotton hammock body on a gentle or delicate cycle at 30°C using a mild, baby-safe detergent free from optical brighteners and biological enzymes. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
  • Wash the hammock separately or with other soft, light items — do not wash alongside heavy or abrasive items that can damage the fabric weave.
  • Remove the hammock from the steel frame before washing. Do not machine wash the frame.
  • Reshape the cotton body by hand while damp and allow to air-dry flat or on a line in a shaded, well-ventilated space. Direct sunlight can fade organic cotton over time with repeated exposure.
  • Do not tumble dry — heat can shrink or distort the cotton body and reduce the hammock’s fit on the frame.
  • Iron on a low cotton setting if needed, while slightly damp, to restore shape — do not iron directly over any labelling or attachment points.
Always wash the hammock before first use to remove any residual finishing agents from manufacture, in line with guidance for all organic cotton infant products.
  • Wipe the stainless steel frame with a damp cloth to remove dust, soil, or outdoor residue. Dry thoroughly after wiping, particularly if used outdoors.
  • Do not submerge the frame in water or leave it standing in pooled water for extended periods — although stainless steel is rust-resistant, prolonged standing water at joints can cause surface staining over time.
  • Inspect all connection points, joints, and attachment hardware before each use. Ensure all fixings are secure and that the frame holds its shape without flex or movement at the joints before placing a child in the hammock.
  • If any joint feels loose, do not use the hammock until the connection has been checked and tightened. Do not use if any structural component is bent, cracked, or damaged.
  • Check the attachment points between the cotton body and the steel frame regularly — inspect the stitching and any ties or loops for signs of wear, fraying, or weakening with each wash cycle.
Always inspect the hammock fully before each use. If in doubt about the structural integrity of any component, discontinue use and contact the manufacturer before using with a child.
  • Always place the hammock on a stable, level surface before placing a child inside. Ensure the frame feet are fully in contact with the ground and that the hammock cannot tip or slide during use.
  • Do not leave a child unsupervised in the hammock at any time. The hammock is intended as a supervised resting and soothing aid, not as an unattended sleep surface.
  • Do not exceed the 15kg maximum weight capacity. Check the current weight of the child against the limit before each period of use as the child grows.
  • Keep the hammock away from hazards including stairways, water features, open flames, and direct heat sources when in use outdoors or indoors.
  • Do not add additional padding, pillows, or loose items to the hammock interior — the organic cotton surface is designed to be used as supplied to maintain a safe, clear sleeping environment.
  • Discontinue use when the child begins to sit or pull themselves up independently, or when the 15kg weight limit is reached, whichever comes first.
This product is designed for supervised use only. Always follow the safety guidance supplied with the product. If you have concerns about safe use for your child, consult your health visitor, paediatric nurse, or GP before use.
  • When not in use for extended periods, wash and dry the cotton body fully before storing — storing damp cotton encourages mildew and can permanently mark the fabric.
  • Store the cotton body folded in a breathable cotton bag or pillowcase — avoid sealed plastic bags which trap moisture and can cause yellowing of natural fibres over time.
  • Store the steel frame in a dry, indoor location — avoid damp garages or sheds where humidity can cause surface discolouration on the steel over extended storage periods.
  • Keep the frame and cotton body stored together so all components are available when needed and none are misplaced between periods of use.
