Magnetic Wireless Charger.
ESSAGER Qi2 magnetic wireless charger — 15W max output, USB-C input, and full Apple ecosystem support. Charges iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch from a single charger that snaps into perfect alignment every time. Available in Grey and Silver.
The Qi2 magnetic ring system snaps the charger into perfect alignment with compatible devices every time it is placed — the mechanism that eliminates the misalignment problem that reduces charging speed and causes wireless chargers to charge intermittently or stop altogether when the device is not centred on the pad. Qi2 alignment is not approximate; the magnets pull the device to the correct position and hold it there throughout charging. The result is consistent, full-speed charging from the moment the device is placed, without repositioning or checking whether the charge has started.
15W maximum output is the fastest wireless charging speed available for compatible iPhones — the specification that makes the difference between a wireless charger that charges at a useful rate and one that is too slow to keep up with daily use. At 15W, a compatible iPhone charges at the same speed wirelessly that a standard wired charger delivers, removing the trade-off between wireless convenience and charging speed that lower-output wireless chargers impose. For iPhone users who previously kept a cable on the bedside or desk because wireless was too slow, 15W Qi2 charging removes that reason.
One charger for the three most common Apple devices — iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch — the compatibility range that eliminates the need for separate chargers on a bedside table or desk and reduces the number of cables and adapters in a bag when travelling. For users who own multiple Apple devices and currently charge each one separately, consolidating to a single Qi2 charger simplifies the charging routine and reduces clutter without requiring any change to how the devices are used during the day.
USB-C input means the charger uses the same cable standard as modern MacBooks, iPads, and most current consumer electronics — the connection that most users already have a cable for, eliminating the need for a dedicated proprietary cable. Available in Grey and Silver — two neutral finishes that complement a desk or bedside setup without standing out as a piece of technology. Both colourways use the same hardware; the choice is purely aesthetic and based on which finish better matches the surface and devices it will sit alongside.
- iPhone: Qi2 15W fast wireless charging is supported on iPhone 13 and later (iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max; iPhone 14 series; iPhone 15 series; iPhone 16 series). Earlier iPhone models (iPhone 12 and prior) that support wireless charging will charge at Qi speeds (up to 7.5W) rather than the full 15W Qi2 speed, as Qi2 alignment requires the MagSafe magnet array built into iPhone 13 and later.
- iPad: compatible iPad models that support wireless charging will charge via the Qi2 pad. Check the Apple support page for your specific iPad model to confirm wireless charging support before purchasing.
- Apple Watch: all Apple Watch models with wireless charging support are compatible. Apple Watch uses a different charging surface to iPhone and iPad; confirm that the charger includes an Apple Watch charging surface or puck if Apple Watch charging is a primary use case.
- Non-Apple devices: the charger is Qi2 compatible and will charge any Qi2 or standard Qi device at the appropriate speed for that device. Android phones and other Qi devices charge at Qi speeds (typically 5–10W) rather than the 15W Qi2 maximum.
- Qi2 is the second-generation wireless charging standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium — it adds a magnetic alignment system to the existing Qi wireless charging standard, based on the same magnet array technology as Apple’s MagSafe. The magnetic ring in the charger and the magnetic ring in the device snap together automatically, ensuring the charging coils are perfectly centred every time the device is placed on the charger.
- The alignment matters because wireless charging efficiency drops significantly when the charging coils in the charger and the device are not centred — a misaligned Qi pad charges more slowly, generates more heat, and in some cases stops charging altogether if the device moves. Qi2 magnetic alignment eliminates misalignment as a variable, so every charge session starts at full speed and stays at full speed.
- Qi2 also raises the maximum output to 15W for compatible devices, compared to 7.5W for standard Qi charging of iPhone. For iPhone 13 and later, Qi2 is the fastest wireless charging method available from a third-party charger.
- Qi2 is an open standard — any device with Qi2 support will work with any Qi2 charger, regardless of brand. This means a Qi2 charger purchased today will remain compatible with future Qi2 devices, including future iPhone models, as long as Apple continues to support Qi2 (which is expected, given Apple’s involvement in developing the standard).
- Grey: the warmer, more muted option — suits desks and bedside tables with natural wood, dark surfaces, or warm-toned accessories. The less visually prominent choice if the charger will sit in a location where a reflective finish would stand out, such as a bedroom or living room shelf.
- Silver: the cooler, more reflective option — suits modern desk setups with aluminium MacBooks, silver Apple accessories, or any workspace where a clean, tech-forward aesthetic is the priority. The more common choice for a desk setup where the charger will sit alongside silver or space grey Apple hardware.
- Connect the charger to a USB-C power adapter using a USB-C cable — a 20W or higher USB-C power adapter is recommended to deliver the full 15W output to the charger. Lower-wattage adapters (5W, 12W) will limit the charging speed. The power adapter and cable are not included in the box.
- Place the charger on a flat, stable surface — the charger works horizontally on a desk or bedside table. Ensure the USB-C cable is routed so the charger does not move when a device is placed on it or removed.
- Place your iPhone on the charger — the Qi2 magnets will snap the phone into alignment automatically. You should feel the snap when the phone is correctly positioned. A charging indicator will appear on the iPhone screen to confirm charging has started.
- For Apple Watch, use the Apple Watch charging surface or puck if included — or pair the charger with a separate Apple Watch charging cable connected to the same adapter via a USB-C hub if charging multiple Apple devices simultaneously.
“Charging should be effortless — place your phone down and it snaps into alignment, charges at full speed, and you never have to think about it again.”
