If you ordered a bundle with a battery and charger, charge the battery fully before first use. A fully charged 1,500mAh battery will give the best runtime for the first session.
Before starting, check that the chain is correctly tensioned — a chain that is too loose will derail during cutting; one that is too tight will bind and overheat. The chain should have slight give when pulled away from the bar but should not sag.
Apply a small amount of bar and chain oil to the guide bar before use. The oil lubricates the chain during cutting and reduces wear on both the chain and the bar. Check the oil level before each use.
Hold the saw firmly with both hands when cutting — one hand on the rear handle and one on the front guard. Keep fingers clear of the chain at all times.
Start with smaller branches to get a feel for the tool before moving to larger cuts. The 4-inch blade is optimised for branches up to approximately 4 inches in diameter.

Always wear appropriate protective equipment when using a chainsaw — safety glasses, gloves, and sturdy footwear at minimum. Do not operate the saw above shoulder height or in an unstable position.

Clean sawdust and debris from the chain, bar, and body after each use. Accumulated debris affects chain movement and can accelerate wear on the sprocket and bar.
Check chain tension before each use and adjust as needed. Chains stretch with use and will require periodic tensioning to maintain safe and effective cutting performance.
Oil the bar and chain before each use. Never run the saw without oil — dry operation will damage the bar and chain rapidly and void any warranty.
Inspect the chain for damaged, missing, or excessively worn cutters before each use. A dull or damaged chain is less effective and requires more force to cut, increasing fatigue and the risk of kickback.
Store the saw with the battery removed in a dry location. Do not leave the battery installed during storage — this can cause slow discharge and reduce battery lifespan over time.
Charge batteries to approximately 50–60% for long-term storage. Storing a lithium battery fully charged or fully depleted for extended periods reduces its capacity over time.

Always wear safety glasses or goggles — chain saws produce debris that can cause serious eye injury.
Wear gloves to protect hands from debris and reduce vibration fatigue during extended use.
Wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear. Do not operate a chainsaw in sandals or soft shoes.
Do not cut above shoulder height — this reduces control and increases the risk of injury if the saw kicks back or the branch falls unexpectedly.
Keep bystanders and pets clear of the work area. Debris can be ejected in any direction during cutting.
Do not operate the saw when fatigued, in poor light, or in wet conditions where footing is unstable.
Keep the chain brake engaged when carrying the saw between cuts. Only disengage it immediately before starting a cut.
