Compatibility and safe use

• Assess before fitting: obtain appropriate occupational-therapy or mobility advice for the user and the complete bed, mattress and rail combination, especially after a fall or change in mobility.
• Entrapment risk: gaps within the rail and between the rail, mattress, bed frame and headboard can trap the head, neck, chest or limbs. Mattress compression, movement and added toppers can change those gaps. Do not use until compatibility and entrapment risks have been assessed.
• Use only with beds, mattresses and fittings approved in the supplied instructions. Do not improvise attachments or assume compatibility with adjustable beds or soft mattress edges.
