The hammock is designed to be hung from a fixed overhead point — a ceiling hook, a beam, or a purpose-built hammock stand. The hanging point must be structurally sound and rated to support the weight of the hammock and baby with a generous safety margin.
Use a ceiling hook rated for the load. If you are unsure whether your ceiling can support the weight safely, consult a builder or use a freestanding hammock stand rather than a ceiling mount.
The hammock should hang at a height that allows a parent to comfortably place and lift the baby in and out without bending excessively — approximately waist to hip height when the hammock is occupied and at rest.
Check all attachment points, ropes, and hardware before each use. Inspect for wear, fraying, or loosening over time and replace any component that shows signs of deterioration.
