01Ice-Water Circulation — Real Cooling, Not Just Airflow

The 6.1–10L tank is filled with water and ice, chilling the air before it reaches the room — the difference between a fan that moves warm air and a cooler that delivers genuinely lower-temperature air, effective on hot days when a standard fan provides no real relief.

028-Hour Timer — Set It and Sleep

The built-in timer runs for 8+ hours, allowing the cooler to switch off automatically during the night — the feature that prevents energy waste without leaving the room warm by morning, and eliminates the need for a manual intervention mid-sleep.

03Remote Control — Adjust Without Getting Up

Speed, timer, and mode adjustments from across the room — the convenience that matters most in a bedroom cooler, where getting out of bed to change a setting defeats the purpose of running the cooler at night.

0475W Motor, 36–45dB — Powerful and Quiet Enough for Sleep

Meaningful airflow across a bedroom-sized space at 36–45dB — between a quiet library and normal conversation, usable during sleep without becoming a disturbance, and significantly quieter than a portable air conditioning compressor at the same cooling output.

  • Place the cooler on a flat, stable floor surface — ideally near the centre of the room or directed toward where you sleep or sit. Position at least 30cm from walls and furniture to allow adequate intake airflow.
  • Fill the tank before plugging in. Add cold water to the maximum fill line and optionally add ice for enhanced cooling output. Do not overfill — water above the maximum line can overflow during operation.
  • Plug into a 220V mains socket. Do not use an extension lead rated below the unit’s power draw — use a heavy-duty extension if needed.
  • Switch on, select your preferred fan speed using the control panel or remote, and allow 2–3 minutes for the cooled air output to stabilise before judging effectiveness.
  • For first use, run on a medium speed setting for 30 minutes with the windows slightly open to allow warm air to escape, then close windows to retain the cooled air.
  • Fill the tank with clean cold tap water. Ice can be added to the tank or a dedicated ice compartment (where present) — ice is most effective in the first 1–2 hours as it melts; after that the unit continues to cool via the evaporative process.
  • Monitor the water level during use — the unit will reduce cooling output or activate a low-water alert when the tank runs low. A full 10L tank typically provides several hours of cooling before needing a top-up, depending on speed and ambient temperature.
  • Use only clean cold or room-temperature water. Do not add salt, flavouring, essential oils, or any additive — these can damage the evaporative media, block internal components, and create unpleasant odours.
  • Empty the tank fully when the cooler will not be used for more than 24–48 hours. Standing water can develop bacteria and odour — drain, rinse, and allow to dry before storage.
  • In very humid conditions (above 70% relative humidity), the evaporative cooling effect is significantly reduced. In these situations, run the fan at a higher speed to maximise airflow benefit.
In the UK, evaporative coolers are most effective during dry summer heat waves when ambient humidity is lower than usual. During humid or overcast weather, the cooling benefit is reduced but the unit still provides meaningful airflow.
  • Set the timer before sleep — a typical bedroom will reach a comfortable temperature within 1–2 hours; setting the timer to switch off after 4–6 hours allows the room to cool before sleep and the unit to switch off in the early hours without wasting energy.
  • Use the remote to adjust speed without getting out of bed — if the room feels too cold or the fan noise is noticeable at higher speeds, reduce to the lowest setting, which also extends the timer duration on the remaining water.
  • Point the remote directly at the unit’s receiver within the effective range (typically 5–7 metres). If unresponsive, check the battery and ensure there is no obstruction between the remote and the infrared receiver.
  • The timer can typically be adjusted while the unit is running — press the timer button on the remote or control panel to set or modify the shutoff time without switching the unit off and on again.
  • Unplug the unit before any cleaning or maintenance. Do not clean with the cooler powered on or plugged in.
  • Empty and rinse the water tank weekly during regular use. In hard water areas, a diluted white vinegar rinse (1 part vinegar to 5 parts water, left for 15 minutes then rinsed clean) will dissolve limescale that reduces cooling efficiency over time.
  • Clean the evaporative cooling media (internal pads or filter) periodically per the manufacturer’s instructions — typically every 2–4 weeks during heavy summer use. A clogged or mineral-laden cooling pad significantly reduces airflow and output.
  • Wipe the exterior housing and air intake grilles with a soft damp cloth to remove dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray water directly into the vents, control panel, or motor housing.
  • At the end of the cooling season, empty and dry the tank fully, clean the cooling media, and store upright in a cool dry location. Do not store with water remaining in the tank — this encourages mould and makes the unit unpleasant to use the following season.
Cool. Circulate. Sleep.
