01Butterfly Contour Shape — Cervical Spine Alignment for Back & Side Sleepers

The butterfly profile — a raised centre section that cradles the neck and two lower wings that support the head — is the geometry that holds the cervical spine in neutral alignment regardless of whether the sleeper is on their back or side. A flat or standard pillow places the head at whatever height the compressed fill allows, which changes throughout the night as the fill shifts and compresses unevenly under the weight of the head. The butterfly contour maintains a consistent support geometry because the shape is moulded into the foam rather than dependent on fill distribution — the neck is cradled at the correct height relative to the shoulders whether the sleeper moves from back to side or stays in one position throughout the night.

02Slow-Rebound Memory Foam — Pressure Relief That Lasts Through the Night

Slow-rebound (viscoelastic) memory foam responds to body heat and the weight of the head to conform precisely to the shape of the neck and skull, distributing the contact pressure across the full surface area of the foam rather than concentrating it at the heaviest points. The slow return — the foam takes several seconds to return to its original shape after compression — means it continuously adapts to small positional shifts during sleep rather than springing back immediately and creating a reactive counter-pressure. The 100% polyurethane construction maintains this behaviour consistently throughout the night and does not develop the cold spots or uneven compression that lower-density foams and alternative fill materials produce after a few hours of use.

035.1–10 cm Height Range — Correct Elevation for Your Sleep Position

The 5.1–10 cm height range accommodates the different cervical support requirements of back and side sleepers — back sleepers typically require a lower loft to maintain the natural curve of the cervical spine, while side sleepers require a higher loft to bridge the distance between the shoulder and the ear and keep the head level with the spine. The butterfly contour addresses both within the same pillow by providing different effective heights at different points of the profile — the lower centre section for back sleeping and the raised wings for side sleeping. The two size options — 50×30 cm and 60×34 cm — accommodate different frame sizes and shoulder widths, with the larger size providing more surface area and a marginally higher loft for broader-shouldered sleepers.

04Jacquard Pillowcase — Five Colours, Included

The woven jacquard pillowcase is included with the pillow in five colourways — Jacquard Purple, Jacquard Gray, Jacquard Sapphire, Jacquard Navy, and Starry Sky — with the textured jacquard weave providing a surface that looks considered rather than clinical on a made bed. The pillowcase is removable for washing, which is the practical requirement for a pillow that is used nightly and needs to be kept hygienically clean. The jacquard fabric’s woven texture is more durable than printed alternatives and maintains its appearance through repeated washing without the pattern fading or the surface pilling in the way that printed polyester pillowcases typically do after a few months of regular use.

  • 50 × 30 cm: the standard size, suitable for most adults. Provides sufficient surface area for back and side sleeping positions and fits a standard pillowcase if an additional cover is required. Recommended as the default choice for adults of average build.
  • 60 × 34 cm: the larger size, recommended for taller individuals or those with broader shoulders. The additional width provides more surface area when sleeping on the side, ensuring the pillow extends fully from the shoulder to the head without the sleeper’s shoulder pressing against the edge of the pillow. Also preferred by those who move around more during sleep and want more pillow surface available when their position shifts.
  • Both sizes use the same butterfly contour profile and the same slow-rebound memory foam. The size choice does not affect the support properties of the foam — only the surface area and overall dimensions differ.
  • All five colours — Jacquard Purple, Jacquard Gray, Jacquard Sapphire, Jacquard Navy, and Starry Sky — are available in both sizes. The colour choice is purely aesthetic and does not affect the performance or specification of the pillow.
  • Jacquard Gray is the most versatile neutral, compatible with virtually any bedding colour scheme.
  • Jacquard Navy and Jacquard Sapphire are deeper tones that work well with white, cream, and grey bedding and add a considered accent without being visually dominant.
  • Jacquard Purple is the most distinctive colourway — a good choice for bedrooms with warm or jewel-toned colour schemes.
  • Starry Sky is a patterned option with a darker base and a subtle all-over motif — the choice for those who prefer a more decorative surface to a solid colour.
  • Remove the jacquard pillowcase before washing. The pillowcase is machine washable — wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle to preserve the jacquard weave structure and prevent shrinkage. Do not tumble dry the pillowcase on a high heat setting; air dry or tumble on low.
  • The memory foam pillow core should not be machine washed or submerged in water — water penetration into the foam structure takes an extremely long time to dry fully and can cause the foam to degrade or develop mould inside the core where it is not visible. Spot clean the pillow core with a damp cloth and a mild detergent if required, then allow to air dry completely before replacing the pillowcase.
  • Air the pillow core regularly by removing the pillowcase and leaving the foam exposed in a well-ventilated area for a few hours. Memory foam can retain body heat and moisture over time; regular airing extends the useful life of the foam and keeps the pillow fresh.
  • Do not compress or fold the memory foam pillow core for storage — sustained compression in a folded position can permanently deform the foam and affect the contour shape that provides the cervical support.
Do not dry-clean the pillowcase. The solvents used in dry cleaning can damage the polyester jacquard fibres and affect the texture and colour of the weave.
  • A cervical pillow places the neck in a different position to a standard flat pillow, and most people require an adjustment period of one to two weeks before the new sleep position feels natural. Some initial discomfort or unfamiliarity during the first few nights is normal and does not indicate that the pillow is unsuitable — it reflects the neck and shoulder muscles adapting to a position that is mechanically correct but unfamiliar.
  • Start by using the cervical pillow for the first portion of the night and switching to your existing pillow if you wake and find it uncomfortable, gradually increasing the duration over the first week until you are using it throughout the night.
  • If discomfort persists beyond two weeks, check that you are using the correct size for your shoulder width and sleep position. Persistent discomfort after the adjustment period may indicate that the larger size would provide better support for your frame.
  • The memory foam will soften slightly with use and body heat over the first few weeks as it acclimates to your specific weight and sleep position — the support profile of the pillow after a month of regular use will be slightly more customised to your shape than when it is new.
