- Place the fan on a flat, stable desk or table surface — position it so the airflow is directed toward your face or upper body rather than at a wall or monitor screen.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean, cold water before plugging in. Fill to the maximum line and optionally place the included ice pack in the ice compartment for maximum cooling output on first use.
- Connect the USB cable to any 5V USB port — a laptop port, USB charger, or power bank all work. A higher-output port (1A or above) ensures full 12W performance. Do not connect to a data-only USB port that limits current.
- Switch on and select your preferred speed setting. Allow 1–2 minutes for the mist and ice cooling to reach full effect before judging output.
- For first use, run on a medium setting for 5–10 minutes before placing the fan immediately in front of a laptop screen or keyboard — allow the spray nozzles to clear any manufacturing residue before directing mist at electronics.
- Freeze the included ice pack before use — a fully frozen ice pack provides the strongest cooling output in the first 1–2 hours. After the ice melts, the fan continues to cool via mist and airflow but without the additional temperature drop.
- The ice pack can be refrozen and reused repeatedly. After removing it at the end of a session, rinse and return it to the freezer ready for the next day’s use.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean cold tap water only. Do not add ice directly to the water tank — ice belongs in the dedicated ice compartment. Do not use hot water, flavoured water, or any additive.
- Monitor the water level during extended use — the dual spray system will reduce output or stop when the tank runs low. Refill as needed with fresh cold water.
- Empty the reservoir when the fan will not be used for more than 24 hours. Standing water can develop bacteria and odour — rinse and refill with fresh water before the next session.
Do not add essential oils, fragrance, or any additive to the water tank. These will block the dual spray nozzles and are not compatible with this fan’s misting system.
- Use a lower speed during video calls, recordings, or focused quiet work — at the lowest speed the fan operates near the bottom of its 36–45dB range, quiet enough to be inaudible on most microphones at normal desk distance.
- Use a higher speed when the room temperature is above 28°C or after physical activity — higher speed increases both airflow and mist output for maximum cooling in the shortest time.
- The mist function can typically be operated independently of fan speed — mist without full airflow adds humidity to a dry room without the distraction of high airflow. Refer to the control buttons on your unit for the specific combination.
- In a very dry or air-conditioned room, running mist on a low continuous setting adds ambient humidity without over-misting the immediate area. In an already humid room, run on airflow only to avoid adding excess moisture.
- Unplug the USB cable before any cleaning. Do not clean with the fan powered or connected.
- Empty and rinse the water reservoir weekly during regular use. In hard water areas, a diluted white vinegar rinse (1 part vinegar to 5 parts water, soaked for 10 minutes then rinsed) dissolves mineral build-up that reduces mist output over time.
- Clean the dual spray nozzles periodically — a cotton bud or soft toothbrush dipped in diluted white vinegar clears mineral deposits from the nozzle apertures without damaging the plastic. Rinse with clean water after cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the leafless housing with a soft damp cloth — the smooth inner surface of the leafless ring can be wiped without disassembly, one of the advantages of the bladeless design over a conventional fan.
- Allow all parts to dry fully before reconnecting the USB cable. Do not connect to power with any moisture remaining around the USB port or internal components.
