Smart Hydroponic Growing Machine.
Grow fresh vegetables and herbs at home without soil — the Oliz Z211S uses soilless hydroponic cultivation with a built-in full-spectrum LED grow light for year-round indoor growing. Elegant beige wood grain design fits any kitchen or living space. Available with US, EU, UK, and AU plugs.
Hydroponic growing delivers water and nutrients directly to the plant roots without any soil — faster growth rates, higher yields, and none of the mess or maintenance that comes with traditional potted growing. Plants grown hydroponically typically reach harvest in significantly less time than soil-grown equivalents, and the controlled indoor environment means growth is consistent regardless of season, weather, or outdoor conditions. For anyone who has wanted to grow fresh herbs or salad vegetables at home but found soil-based growing too messy or unreliable, hydroponics removes every one of those barriers.
The integrated full-spectrum LED grow light provides the complete wavelength range that plants need for healthy photosynthesis — replicating natural sunlight in a controlled, energy-efficient form that works regardless of the room's natural light levels. This means the machine can be placed anywhere in the home — a kitchen counter, a shelf, a dining room sideboard — without needing proximity to a window or direct sunlight. The LED operates on a timer to simulate natural day and night cycles, which regulates plant growth and avoids the over-lighting that can stress plants when left on continuously.
The automated growing environment keeps plants healthy with minimal intervention — the water circulation, light cycle, and nutrient delivery are all managed by the machine, leaving the owner to do little more than top up the water reservoir periodically and harvest when ready. For busy households where a traditional garden or even a windowsill herb pot is too demanding to maintain consistently, this is the growing solution that actually stays alive and productive without constant attention. The low-maintenance growing cycle that produces results week after week without the plant deaths and restarts that frustrate most home growing attempts.
The Z211S is designed to sit on a kitchen counter or living space surface as a decorative object as much as a functional growing unit — the beige wood grain finish and compact 20cm base give it the appearance of a considered home accessory rather than a piece of garden equipment. For a kitchen where aesthetics matter as much as function, this is the growing machine that adds to the visual environment rather than detracting from it. The design that means it doesn’t need to be tucked away or hidden — it belongs on the counter, visible and in use, as a daily reminder that fresh herbs and vegetables are always available a few steps away.
- Herbs: basil, mint, coriander, parsley, chives, dill, and thyme are among the fastest-growing and most rewarding options for a hydroponic kitchen garden. Most herb varieties reach a harvestable size in 2–4 weeks from seedling.
- Salad leaves: lettuce, rocket, spinach, and mixed salad leaves grow quickly in hydroponic conditions and can be harvested as cut-and-come-again crops — taking outer leaves regularly while the plant continues producing from the centre.
- Small vegetables: cherry tomatoes, chillies, and dwarf pepper varieties can be grown successfully in a compact hydroponic unit, though they require longer growing times and more light than herbs or salad leaves.
- Microgreens: the fastest option — sunflower, pea shoots, radish, and broccoli microgreens can be ready to harvest in as little as 7–14 days and are among the most nutritionally dense crops you can grow at home.
- Fill the water reservoir to the indicated level with clean tap water. Add hydroponic nutrients if supplied or purchased separately — follow the dosage instructions for the nutrient solution carefully.
- Place growing pods or net cups into the designated slots in the machine. Add growing medium (such as clay pebbles, rockwool, or coco coir — whichever is supplied or recommended for this model) into each pod.
- Plant seeds or seedling plugs into the growing medium. For seeds, plant 2–3 per pod and thin to the strongest seedling once germinated. For seedling plugs, one per pod is sufficient.
- Power on the machine and set the light timer if adjustable — a standard 16 hours on, 8 hours off cycle is suitable for most herbs and vegetables.
- Check the water level every 3–5 days and top up as needed. Change the full nutrient solution every 2–3 weeks to prevent salt build-up and maintain plant health.
- The built-in LED grow light is designed to run on a daily timer cycle — do not leave it on 24 hours a day, as plants need a dark period for healthy growth. A 16-hour on, 8-hour off cycle is the recommended starting point for most crops.
- Keep the LED panel clean and free from water droplets or mineral deposits from the reservoir — wipe gently with a dry cloth if residue accumulates on the light surface.
- Clean the water reservoir and internal components every 2–3 weeks when changing the nutrient solution. Rinse with clean water and remove any algae or root debris before refilling.
- If algae growth is visible in the reservoir, ensure the reservoir is fully opaque and light is not penetrating the water — light exposure to the water is the primary cause of algae growth in hydroponic systems.
- Herbs: harvest by snipping stems just above a leaf node — this encourages the plant to branch and produce more growth rather than going to seed. Never take more than one-third of the plant at a single harvest.
- Salad leaves: use the cut-and-come-again method — take outer leaves from the base of the plant and leave the central growing point intact. The plant will continue producing new leaves for several weeks before it bolts (goes to seed) and needs replacing.
- Replanting: once a plant has bolted or finished producing, remove it from the growing pod, clean the pod and growing medium (or replace with fresh medium), and replant with new seeds or a seedling plug to start the next cycle immediately.
- Stagger your planting so that different pods are at different growth stages — this gives you a continuous harvest rather than all pods producing at once and then all finishing at once.
“Fresh herbs and vegetables from your kitchen counter — no garden, no soil, no seasons. Just plant, grow, and harvest.”
