Wet use — bath time: wet your pet’s coat thoroughly, apply shampoo, then use the brush in circular or back-and-forth motions to work the shampoo into the coat. The bristles lift dirt and loose fur while distributing the shampoo evenly. Rinse the brush and your pet together at the end.
Dry use — grooming and massage: use on a dry coat in gentle circular motions to remove loose fur, stimulate the skin, and give your pet a relaxing massage. Particularly effective on short-coated breeds where loose fur accumulates close to the skin surface.
Hand strap: adjust the strap before use to ensure a secure, comfortable fit. The strap should hold the brush firmly against the back of your hand without restricting circulation.
Cleaning the brush: rinse under running water after wet use — the rubber bristles release trapped fur easily. For dry use, pull accumulated fur from the bristles by hand or rinse briefly.

Dogs: suitable for all coat types — short, medium and longer coats. Particularly effective for breeds that shed heavily (Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds) where regular loose fur removal reduces shedding around the home. Also suitable for sensitive-skinned breeds that react to stiffer grooming tools.
Cats: suitable for most domestic cats, particularly short to medium-coated breeds. Many cats that resist traditional grooming brushes tolerate a silicone brush well because the rubber bristles feel more like a hand than a conventional brush. Ideal for cats that enjoy being stroked — use in the direction of the coat for best results.
Small pets: can also be used gently on larger small pets such as rabbits, though always introduce any new grooming tool gradually and watch for signs of discomfort.

For cats and smaller pets, use lighter pressure than you would for a dog. The bristles are soft but the pressure applied determines the experience — a lighter touch produces a more massage-like sensation that most cats find acceptable.

Start slowly: introduce the brush gradually for pets that are new to grooming. Let them sniff and investigate it first, then apply it briefly before building up to longer sessions as they become comfortable.
Dry brushing frequency: for heavy shedders, daily dry brushing for a few minutes significantly reduces the volume of fur left on furniture, floors and clothing. For moderate shedders, two to three times per week is sufficient.
Bath frequency: most dogs benefit from bathing every four to six weeks. Cats rarely need bathing unless they have gotten into something and cannot clean themselves. Over-bathing strips natural oils from the coat and can cause dry skin and irritation.
Making bath time easier: using a brush during the bath keeps the pet occupied with a familiar sensation (being stroked) rather than something unfamiliar, which can reduce resistance — particularly for dogs that dislike being bathed.
