Clean the headlight surface thoroughly before starting — remove loose dirt, road grime, and any wax or polish residue. A clean surface allows the repair fluid to work directly on the oxidised layer rather than through a layer of contamination.
Mask the surrounding paintwork and trim with masking tape — the repair fluid is designed for polycarbonate headlight lenses and should not come into contact with painted surfaces.
Apply the repair fluid to the headlight surface using the applicator provided. Work in small circular motions to ensure even coverage and to work the product into the oxidised layer.
Allow the repair fluid to dwell on the surface for the time specified in the product instructions, then buff off using a clean microfibre cloth. Repeat the application if the lens is heavily oxidised and requires a second pass.
Once the lens is clear and the repair fluid has been removed, apply the Blue Ice coating using a clean applicator. Work in thin, even layers and allow each layer to cure before applying the next.
Allow the coating to cure fully before exposing the vehicle to rain or washing — refer to the product instructions for the specific cure time.

For best results, work in a shaded area out of direct sunlight. High temperatures and direct sun can cause the repair fluid to dry too quickly, reducing its effectiveness and making it harder to buff off evenly.

Restore: yellowing, cloudiness, oxidation, or hazing on the lens surface — these are surface conditions that the repair fluid is designed to address. Restoration is appropriate when the lens itself is intact and the issue is confined to the outer surface.
Replace: cracked, chipped, or physically damaged lenses cannot be restored with a coating kit — structural damage requires replacement. Similarly, internal fogging caused by a broken seal between the lens and the headlight housing is an internal moisture issue that surface restoration will not resolve.
If the vehicle has recently failed an MOT on headlight condition, restoration is worth attempting before committing to replacement — it is significantly less expensive and, in most cases, sufficient to bring the headlight to the required standard.

The Blue Ice coating extends the life of the restoration but is not a permanent solution — UV exposure and environmental conditions will gradually degrade the coating over time.
Reapply the Blue Ice coating periodically as part of a regular car care routine to maintain the protective layer and prevent re-oxidation of the lens surface.
Avoid using abrasive car wash brushes on the headlight surface — these can scratch the coating and accelerate degradation.
Keep the remaining repair fluid and coating sealed and stored in a cool, dry location for future use. Both products have sufficient quantity for follow-up applications.

EU Plug (Type C/F): the standard for continental Europe, including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and most other EU countries. Choose EU if you are using the kit in mainland Europe or any country that uses the two-pin round plug standard.
US Plug (Type A): the standard for the United States, Canada, Mexico, and a number of countries in Central America, South America, and Asia. Choose US if you are using the kit in North America or a country that uses the two flat-pin plug standard.
UK buyers: neither the EU nor US plug is compatible with UK sockets (Type G, three-pin). You will need a plug adapter to use this product in the UK. A Type C/F to Type G adapter is widely available and inexpensive.
